KEY ACHEIEVEMENTS
Loose Surface are a Wollongong-based alt-rock band known for explosively loud shows, outrageous nights and an arena-rock attitude.
Since forming in late 2023, the six-piece have played more than 90 shows across NSW, QLD, the ACT and Victoria. They toured the east coast in 2024/25 for their debut EP Cheap N’ Dirty, before kicking off 2026 with another east coast run.
Along the way, Loose Surface have shared stages with FANGZ, Avalanche and The Pingers. In 2025, they were selected by Tooheys and Dune Rats to open for Dune Rats and DZ Deathrays at Sydney’s Beach Road Hotel, playing to a packed 300+ crowd.
Their 2025 single Hearing Aids brought their riot grrrl and punk influences to the forefront, taking aim at misogyny and Australia’s “good bloke” culture. The release gained traction across streaming, radio and social media, while earning coverage from Australian and international music publications.
The band also launched their single Pulp with a fundraiser at Bootleggers in Newtown, raising $1,700 for Endometriosis Australia.
In 2026, Loose Surface were selected through the Horizon Band Competition to perform at Yours & Owls Festival, marking the band’s first festival appearance. With new single Purgatory arriving in October, Loose Surface continue to build on a relentless few years of touring, releases and increasingly bigger stages.
